This double-length session sets out to pull back into the spotlight assessing comprehension and test high-order thinking through writing dramatic responses to texts, especially for students conversant with short-form performances such as those found on social media. Teacher-friendly guidelines and grading rubrics for dramatic text generation provide the framework for language and social studies teachers, though all disciplines are welcome.
